Where The Devil Will Always Tell the Truth

Ruben Last Judgement

When you were born, you were given a name.  Your name has a meaning whether you are aware of it or not.  (look it up).    My name: Adele has the meaning: "Noble, nobility."

We all have a name, and that name has a meaning, whether or not it defines our character may be a different matter.

There are three ways in which we receive a name.  1.  Our parents name us.  2.  We name ourselves by sin.  3.  God RENAMES us by His redemptive grace.  He names us "Forgiven", "Son" or "Daughter,"  "Redeemed."

Never forget that the devils are constantly about seeking our destruction.  They see everything we do, and when we step into sin, this is when they are the most encouraging for us to continue.  When we are given the name "Forgiven".  The devil wants desperately for us to abandon that name and take up again the name of our sin.  (This is why he is always tempting us.)

The devil is a liar, he constantly lies and tries to draw us away from the truth of God.  He can tell big lies, but usually only after he has laid the groundwork with a lot of smaller deceptions that we have swallowed by our own free will.  Like a fish, he hooks us and then tries to drag us in a little deeper, one small step at a time.  Never believe anything the devil tells you, but there is one situation in which he will always tell the truth.

A man who died in a car accident and then was revived afterwards tells a very interesting story.  He would go to Church on Sunday, but also visit prostitutes regularly.   He said when he passed into the void he immediately heard a demon screech, "He’s mine, he’s mine.”  The voice screamed. “His name is liar, liar, liar, and I am taking him to the Lake of Fire.”  (Link at bottom of this article)

The devil told the truth, and this is the one situation in which he always will.  The devil has no problem with telling the truth when he knows by God's justice that the truth he will tell will condemn you for all eternity.    The man had renamed himself "liar", not "fornicator" or "whoremonger", but "liar", why?  Because he was lying to God by playing Church and then willingly and knowingly engaging in his sin of choice.   If he hadn't been in Church his name might have been "fornicator" or "whoremonger", but he still would have faced the possibility of an eternity in hell depending on his judgement.

There is absolutely nothing you can hide from God.  Your thoughts, intentions, He knows it all.  The devil on the other hand does not.   The devil can make some very good educated guesses based on your behavior, and trust me, he does prowl constantly seeking our destruction.  We do not fear the devil, but God who is the just judge.  But know that when we die and go to our judgement, we will have the 'accuser' there to accuse of every sin we have committed and seek to rename us as "damned."

When the devil names you by your sin at the judgement, it is the one time he will always tell the truth, because before the judgement seat of God there is only truth.  Whatever your sins are you will not be able to deny them, your reason for saying every word, committing every act will be revealed.   The demon will fight hard for your soul, using all the ammunition we have given him by our sins.

The devil is hidden in this world, but not unperceived.  To fight him we must turn the tables on him.  Use what we know to disarm and expel him.  The devils goal is to remain hidden and do as much destruction as he possibly can.  He does this by inspiring and tempting people into sin that will put them in the devil's territory and not God's.  So we must remain hidden, seeking the good of the other, by seeking and pleading to God for their salvation.

The truth is on the devils lips, but only at our judgement, and only so that that truth will condemn us.   To have victory at our judgement over the demon, we must live hidden lives for God and for love of another so that the word of our deeds spoken at the judgement will bring pain to the devil and not us.

Hell is absent of all the good things that God gives us.  There is no sleep, rest, water, food, comfort in hell.  These are the first pains of the devil, but the greatest defeat he can receive is when we conform ourselves to the life of Jesus for love alone.  What this means is a sacrificial love for another seeking nothing for self.  This love is given because we love God and only desire what He does.  When these deeds are presented to the devil, this is his great pain, but it is not the deed itself that causes him the greatest pain.  The greatest pain is the heart of love attached to the deed by the holy soul for love of God.  This is when the devil truly suffers fire before the judgement seat.    The fire that satan would have us suffer is given back to him.

Job accepted every suffering given and did not lose faith in God, but at his lowest the devil entered his wife and spoke through her.    "His wife said to him, "Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!"  Job 2:9.   Remember, this was before Jesus, if Job had listened to his wife, I believe the devil was just laying in wait for Job to issue the curse against God so he could instantly take his life and drag him to hell.

Mary, when seeing Jesus whom she loved suffer so much for the sake of all of us yet she did not get angry or question God, she just said....

"So be it Lord."

Accept your suffering, offer it for your purification and the conversion of sinners and trust HIM.

The devil's ultimate goal for you is the same he had for Job, for you to curse God and be with him for all eternity in Hell.  God in His mercy will allow you to suffer some things for your purification so that you can enter into Heaven.  So when you suffer, but like His Mother and say..."So be it Lord."

TRUST HIM

TRUST HIM

TRUST HIM!

The Purgatory Trap

St. Michael the Archangel and the Souls in Purgatory

The trap of Purgatory is too many souls rely on Purgatory as the destination of their soul after death, and slap God in the face by not trusting in His mercy, and do not seek Heaven.  They use Purgatory as their "backup plan" and as a result lead lukewarm lives, saying to themselves that in an exchange for just doing the "minimum" faith requirement, thinking that when they die they will just have to spend a few years in Purgatory and then eventually end up in Heaven.

Whether we spend time in Purgatory is at God's discretion, not ours.

The greatest misuse of Purgatory is that many Catholics do not fear God because of Purgatory.

Those that hang their hopes on Purgatory are already among the lukewarm and possibly among those heading to the second death. Jesus will spit those out of His mouth that have failed to make every effort to follow Jesus and heaven, NOT Purgatory.

Catholics that rely on the sacraments to get them into Purgatory are greatly misusing those sacraments, even the last sacrament, the Anointing of the Sick.   Yes, the sacraments are for our purification and strengthening, but we are then to use this strengthening to take the gift we are given in the Holy Eucharist to the world that never receives it.  We become a walking talking Monstrance for the world.  This is for all non- Catholics, former Catholics, Atheists, etc.

Monstrance with Eucharist

Story of Two Catholics:

The First:
One Catholic, had not practiced the Catholic faith very often, and had many sins.   By God's grace a Catholic Priest came and gave this person Extreme Unction before death.  God will always honor the hands of the Priest and the sacraments he administers, so by the power of God, through the sacrament, the persons sins where forgiven.  However, because this person died soon after the sacrament was administered, there was not the opportunity for the person to repair the damaging affects of their sin.  The damaging affects of the sin would be carried by those this person sinned against.  God is perfect and just.  He will use the burden carried by those who are affected by this persons sin for that person's purification and to lead them to heaven.

So is it right that the person who died, leaving behind heavy burdens for others to carry, be allowed to come into heaven?  It is totally at God's mercy and discretion, and by His justice, a soul might still enter heaven, but God will require us to pay every farthing.  By His perfect justice the soul might need to undergo purification at God's discretion, ergo the flames of purification, Purgatory.

"...two thirds of them will be cut off and perish, and one third will be left. I will bring the one third through the fire; I will refine them as one refines silver, and I will test them as one tests gold."  Zechariah 13:8-9.

The greatest mistake people make when they read scripture is to think that the Old Testament is in the past and no longer relevant.    If Jesus came to fulfill the Old Testament, and He is eternal, then what is said in the Old Testament still testifies to truth, but a truth of eternity and heaven, so if it testifies of eternity, God is teaching us of our eternal destination.

The Second:
The second Catholic went to Church every Easter and Christmas and went to Confession once a year.  There was no charity in this person's heart of anyone but themselves and the minimum requirement they thought they needed to do to get into Purgatory.   Because this person does not use the gifts of the Sacraments to keep him from being worldly, this person skirts mortal sin, and eventually falls into it.  This person is then deceived thinking they can wait till the Easter requirement for Confession.   God sends many warnings to this person through people around him to repent, but if this person dies in their sin they will face eternal suffering.  If they were able to receive the last Sacrament before death, God WILL honor the hands of the Priest and forgive this person's sin, but this person will be in the lowest part of Purgatory, suffering the same fires as those in Hell possibly till the end of time.

Read the scripture above..."...two thirds of them will be cut off and perish, and one third will be left."  This should put fear in all of our hearts... 2/3 will go to eternal punishment!

“Enter through the narrow gate;for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few."
Matthew, 7: 13-14.

Anointing of the Sick

I tell you the truth:  There are many souls in Purgatory, that without the grace of God given through the Anointing of the Sick before their death would be in eternal damnation now.

We must not think our sin is small, but see that even the smallest sin can totally separate us from God as God's justice decides.  If you think your sin is small, then you are constantly slapping God in the face as He is suffering on the Cross.  If we truly love God we should fear ALL sin as hurting the one we love.  If we slap someone and then say, "Oh, forgive me." the person may well forgive us, but if we slap them 10,000 times and say, "Oh forgive me.", with no intention in our hearts to really stop slapping them, then we do not fully love the one to whom we are seeking forgiveness.

Is Purgatory real?  Yes.  When we deny Purgatory we call Jesus a liar.   " But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this world or the next."  Matthew 12:32.  There IS a place of purification as God deems to use it for souls that have not been perfected for heaven.

However, do not hope for Purgatory, but rather fear Hell and strive diligently by pouring your life out for others so that you may enter Heaven.

Back From The Edge

Back From The Edge

Many of us never know how close we have come to going to hell.  I found out today just how close I really came to being in the place of eternal torment. Really close.

When my husband was alive I had come back to the Catholic Church and I prayed my Rosary and loved to spend time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.  After my husband died, everything hurt, and I mean everything.  Little things like going to the grocery store or watching t.v. was painful, and yes going to church was painful too because everywhere I was, I could feel his absence.  (He never went to church with me, but I prayed for him much there.)

Well, after his death, I was hurting so bad, that I just didn't care about anything, myself included.  All I wanted was to not hurt just for a little while.  I worked 50 hours a week, because I knew if I kept busy the 'demon' of sadness was kept at bay.  (There is a physical law that you can't think of two things at the same time, so the busier I was, the better.)  In addition to using work as a distraction from the pain I was experiencing, I also sought out unhealthy relationships with men.  I stepped into mortal sin.  I made every excuse for my behavior, saying that God would understand, and what I was doing wasn't so bad.  But I was lying, to myself.  The part of me that had loved to go to Mass and pray her Rosary in front of the Blessed Sacrament was screaming, "What are you doing! You know better!"

After three years of this I was beginning to wonder if this was going to be my entire life, and if I could continue to live in this constant pain.  Then one day, there was no extra work available and I took a day off.  I waited for the sadness to come.  It didn't.  I was quite surprised.  My demon must have been on an extended coffee break.   For the first time I knew something that I hadn't known in three years:  Hope.   For the first time I had hope that there could be a life without this constant sadness.

There was still the problem of my sin though.  Then on the way to work one day I heard the sweetest female voice say to me, "Pray a Rosary for me."  I knew who it was, I didn't need to question.  I said to her, "Gosh, a WHOLE Rosary?" She said, still ever so sweetly, "Just give me a decade."  I said, "Ok." and prayed the decade.  Well, that was all it took, with that one decade, I started praying the Rosary daily again.  I tell you the truth, if you are in consistent mortal sin, you cannot pray the Rosary and still sin, you will either give up the sin or give up the Rosary.  This was my truth also.   The rest of the story of how I came home (it wasn't overnight, but our Mother's Holy Rosary did it) is a rather long one, so I won't tell it here.

But what I will tell is what God showed me about how close I came to facing God's judgement while in mortal sin.   God can judge a sinner at ANY TIME He wishes, and in praying the Stations of the Cross, God let me know just how close I came to that judgement while I was still in mortal sin and not confessed.

The fourth station of the cross is where Jesus meets his Mother on the path of the Cross.  In our Church, if you look at the station, it almost looks as if the Blessed Mother is pleading with her Son.  When I came to this station to pray it, God showed me something.  God showed me that it was the Blessed Mother who had pleaded to our Lord for me when I was in my worst sin.  Then I was to understand that when I heard that sweet voice asking me to "Pray me a Rosary." was my last chance to repent.  What would have happened? I don't know, maybe I would have died in my sins.  But I tell you the truth, if I HAD died in my sins, I would have faced my personal judgement before God and because my sins were of a grave nature, I would have been in hell for all eternity, I know that for sure.  I know that because this was what was the knowledge given to me.

How close to the edge of the cliff was I, ready to fall into hell? Really close, almost hanging on by a thread.  But God was merciful and sent me His Mother to call me back from the ledge.  If your own child got too close to a fire, would you scream and maybe make the child react and fall the wrong way towards the fire or gently distract it from the danger with a sweet and gentle voice to draw it away from the danger?

She is a loving Mother, and when I was close to danger, with her Son's permission she came to me and lovingly pulled me away from the fire (literally!).  I beg any of you who are reading this to examine your own sins and reconcile with God....now.  Do not turn God away if you hear His voice.

Go to Holy Confession!

===================
Act of Contrition
(My personal prayer)

God forgive me of my sins, I regret each one as a separation from you.  Look in my heart and know it is full of love for you and a desire to pursue the path of perfection.  Help me pursue this path of perfection by keeping my heart, soul and body pure.

Amen

The Cliff/Why Every Priest Should Be A Saint

I'm standing near the edge of a cliff.  The land is barren with no vegetation.  The edge of the cliff is jagged.  I look over the edge and see a drop that takes my breath away.  This is the eternal pit that if you fall in, you never come out of.  The fall into this darkness is for miles and miles.  At the bottom of this pit are horrors that I will not mention here.

I look to my right and a mile wide along the edge of the cliff there are people standing at the edge ready to fall in.  Behind them, packed very tightly are thousands of souls behind the ones on the edge and they are so tightly packed that they cannot move even their arms easily.  They cannot run from the horror that awaits them as there is something constraining them, keeping them in place.  Occasionally one or two will break free of the bonds that are holding them and run away from the path of destruction.

Then I see the most horrible thing.  People were being added to the back of this horrible line and the addition of more people somewhere in the distance was pushing the line forward, and pushing those in the front of the line....off the cliff.

Their screams were horrific, for within them was complete hopelessness.

As the first ones on the row fell my heart broke, and caused me to draw my breath in with fear.  I strongly desired to see these souls be saved, but I was only one, and I had no ropes or any means to pull them away from their destruction.  I screamed to them, warning them of the fate that lay ahead, because many in the center of the throng could not see the destruction that awaited them.   I begin to pray my Rosary, offer the Stations to God so that souls would not fall into the pit.  Slowly, I see that some are breaking free of the bonds and changing the course that they were previously on.  There were free of this horrible fate.  I had done nothing for this effort, for God had done all, I just asked.  For God is moved by the heart of love for Him and when we love the souls that He loves.  If we love God, we must love those He loves.

So by love of God and love of those He loves, God saves.  In the world that is more sinful than Sodom and Gomorrah, and so many souls are on this path of eternal destruction to worry about rules is like asking the man with a bullet wound to the chest to first fill out the forms before you will treat him.  Love them, get them in the hospital of the soul, (Christ's Church and the Holy Mass), and by your love you will change their hearts.  Just love them, and God will do the rest.  How easily we forget that we are only to present the truth, it is the Holy Spirit that brings it home every time.  How little we think of God if we think we must wag our finger at a sinner.  Just love them, for God is a big enough God that He can change the blackest of hearts to the most holy of Saints.

Why Every Priest Should Be A Saint: Back At The Cliff.
I am praying and begging God to save souls, to convert the most blackest of hearts, and some are breaking free but still many are going over the cliff. I see a Priest who, like me, is outside of the throng of souls and he was seeing what was happening.  By the expression on his face I could tell he wanted to avert these souls being lost.  He too like me was praying and begging God that souls not to be lost.  He also was offering the Holy Mass and preaching to turn souls away from their fate.  I began to notice that his prayers gave a greater harvest of souls than mine did.  There was no jealousy, this made me very happy.  This Holy Priest by his calling from God and his effort with prayer was able to call at least 100 more souls away from the pit than I could.

God is not a respecter of persons, He loves His Priests as much as He loves any of us.  He is not a respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of the Priesthood which He established.  When a Priests hands are anointed, it is God's honor that is placed in the hands of the Priest, and God will always respect what He has placed there.  For if the heart of the Priest is aligned with God out of love to save souls, what a harvest of souls can be saved!

Why do you think the demon hated St. John Vianney so?  Because the demon knew that God not only heard the prayer of His priest,  but because of the love in the Saints heart for God and for souls not to fall into hell, God waged great destruction on the demon and countless souls where saved.  This destruction on the evil one was so great that it did not profit the demon to hide any longer and he made himself known on several occasions in order to dissuade the Holy Priest from his efforts to save souls.   The demon became so angry that he even told the Saint, "If there were three such priests as you, my kingdom [in France] would be ruined."

Think of that...just three.  Three holy Priests could save a whole nation.

Every Priest should be a Saint, because if a Priest is a Saint, he can save far more souls that one layperson with a rosary every could.
